Kells Service Centre Inc. has been and is continuing to be run as a family business since 1977. Kells Sunoco first opened its doors in August of 1977, at the intersection of Fourth Street East and Hurontario Street in Collingwood, offering full-service repairs, and Sunoco fuels. Thomas Norman Kells (Tom) and John Douglas Kells (Doug) bought the business from the Cailes family and leased the Sunoco station from Sunoco Fuels. They continued running the towing and repairs from this location for two years.

Kells Sunoco in 1979 moved to the corner of First and Cedar Streets in Collingwood where they bought the building and business from Russ Irwin and became Kells Service Centre Inc. That was not the only change that took place, along with the location change they also became a Shell Fuels gas station. Tom and Doug continued their hard work ethic and strong honest business ethics. After nine years Kells Service Centre Inc. outgrew this location and moved.

Kells Service Centre Inc. in 1988 moved into a newly built 6 bay building plus 2 stories of office and storage space, which is the present location and they continued with their hard work ethic and strong business ethics. Only after this move they no longer sold gas or propane. In 1990 Tom bought out his brother Doug and continued on making the business stronger. In 1991 Tom took on a new partner Jim Madden, and also a Midas franchise. The business continued to grow.

In 1994, Thomas AJ Kells bought out Jim Madden. Kells Service Centre Inc. continues to build on its reputation on excellent service to the community and promoting good business ethics, under the direction of President Thomas Norman Kells and Treasurer Thomas AJ Kells. The future is also looking promising with Thomas and Jessica Kells waiting in the wings to make Kells Service Centre Inc. even bigger and better.

Then on May 1st, 2011, we changed our colors to the blue and yellow of NAPA and became Kells Service Centre Inc. your NAPA Auto Pro.  This change gave a stronger footing in the automotive industry, which has not only benefited us but also our customers.

Kells Service Centre Inc. is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Kells Service Centre Inc. has customers that come from all over the area, Stayner, Wasaga Beach, Creemore, Thornbury, and places in between throughout Simcoe and Grey Counties.

Tom Kells Sr. has a Service Technician license.  He has owned and operated Kells Service Centre Inc. since 1977.  He has lived most of his life in Collingwood.

Tom Wehrle has both a Service Technician and Truck & Coach license. He has been employed by Kells Service Centre Inc. since 1980. when he started his apprenticeship. Tom has taken on the role of shop foreman.

Jason Ouimet has a Service Technician license. Jason has been employed by Kells Service Centre Inc. since 2003. He moved to the area and is now living in Singhampton.

Paul Dickson has a Service Technician license and Truck & Coach. Paul has been licensed for 38 years. Paul is our newest addition to the Kells Service Centre family.
